What happens during at the first session?
During the first session, I will help you describe why you are wanting to try psychotherapy or counselling. At the end of this session, you and I will decide on a way forward.
Some people only want – and need – one session. It is always possible to get in touch again if you decide you want more sessions at a later date. Other people take much longer to feel happy talking about themselves. Some problems need more unravelling, too. The number of sessions you want – and need – will be discussed at the first session.
Most people come once a week in the afternoon. There are a small number of sessions outside normal working hours.
